STUDY SHOWS THAT PEOPLE ARE MORE LIKELY TO WEAR DENIM JEANS WHEN THEY ARE DEPRESSED...

Do you know what you're going to wear today? A new study suggests what you wear is heavily impacted by your mood.
If you're feeling a little blue you're more likely to slip on a pair of blue jeans. Researchers at the University of Hertfordshire in England asked one-hundred women what they wore when they were depressed. More than half answered jeans.
Psychologists say we choose clothes that are associated with happiness even when we're feeling down.

"It's just like comfort food. You look for something that is familiar, that makes you feel more like you, that makes you feel more comfortable,” explained therapist Charity Adams. “So if blue jeans are the thing that makes you feel, as they are for a lot of us, that is going to be the thing that you are going to throw on."
Adams also says when you're wearing something that makes you feel good you're more likely to feel more confident and better able to get over your depression.
